carbon elegy

Whether we can see
Immunology
Macular degenerate
Close your flaps
Masticate
Expatriate

In the dying throngs
Cursed sing-alongs
Jumping out of porcelain throats
Close your eyes
Sinking boats
Protein coats

Squeezed into a box
Unprotected locks
Cascading from your guileless face
As time elapses
Things take place
Carapace

The sky is rent to dust
The lovers choke on lust
Crucial insect crawls to light
And Nixon laughs
Endless night
Anthracite
